Buffalo wings originated in 1964 at Anchor Bar Buffalo, staten New York.
The inventor was Teressa Bellissimo. At that time chicken wings normally ended up in the stock pot.
Now a days the Buffalo Wings are popular word wide and known
as e.g "Hot Wings". In Buffalo the locals just call them wings.
They are traditionally served with green celery and blue cheese dip.
You will be able to find many recipe's for Buffalo Wings.
Some even breaded and other baked
in the oven. In this recipe I will try to stick as close to the original as I possibly can.
You will need
Oil to fry
Salt to taste
¼ cup butter
2 tsp hot sauce at your choice
For the dip
1 cub crumbled blue cheese
¾ cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
5 dash worchestershire sauce
Salt and cracked black pepper
Wings are fried in oil..!
Clean and dry the wings and fry them in hot oil 180 to 185 C. until golden. 8 to 10 minuttes.
Shake of oil and place them in a bowl, give a pinch of salt, keep them warm.
While the wings are frying prepare
the hot sauce.
Melt the butter in a small pot, add hot sauce and vinegar and let it simmer for a few minuttes.
Pour the hot sauce over the wings and shake the bowl to combine the sauce all over.
Prepare the dip by combine all ingredients and
stir well or run in a food processor.
Serve the wings with slices of green celery and the blue cheese dip.
